ExxonMobil Guyana has awarded a landmark five-year technical monitoring contract to geophysical equipment specialist Sercel, bringing state-of-the-art ocean bottom node (OBN) technology to the offshore Stabroek Block.
The contract entails continuous subsea 4D acoustic surveillance designed to trace pressure variances and fluid dynamics within subsea reservoirs, reinforcing operational safety standards as production expands toward 1.3 million bpd.
